Chaser is a cocktail recipe app for iOS. This policy explains what data is and is not collected when you use Chaser, and how it is handled.
Chaser does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. There are no accounts, no profiles, no tracking, and no advertising.
Chaser does not collect:
If you have iCloud enabled on your device, Chaser uses Apple's CloudKit framework (via SwiftData) to sync your personal cocktail recipe library across your devices.
Important details about this sync:
Chaser may offer in-app purchases to unlock additional features or content. All transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store.
Chaser may use Apple Intelligence features powered by Apple's FoundationModels framework to enhance your experience — for example, to help parse and import recipes.
These AI features run entirely on your device. No text, queries, photos, or other inputs are sent to our servers or to any third-party AI service as a result of your use of these features. All processing occurs locally using Apple's on-device models.
If you have opted in to "Share with App Developers" in your iPhone's Settings (under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may automatically send anonymized crash reports to us when the app unexpectedly closes.
These crash reports may include:
Crash reports do not include your name, Apple ID, location, or any personal content from within the app. We use this information only to identify and fix bugs. This data is provided to us by Apple and is not linked to your identity.
This is the only category of data listed on Chaser's App Store Privacy Nutrition Label.
Chaser uses Apple's OSLog framework to write diagnostic messages to your device's local system log. This is a standard iOS development practice used for debugging.
Log data never leaves your device under normal operation.
Logs may be visible to you or a developer if your device is physically connected to a Mac running Xcode, with your explicit trust granted.
No log data is transmitted to us automatically.
Chaser does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-sharing services. There are no SDKs from companies such as Google, Meta, or any data broker embedded in the app.
The only external services involved are Apple's own frameworks (CloudKit, StoreKit, FoundationModels, and standard iOS diagnostics), which are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Chaser does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because we do not collect personal data from any users, no special handling for children is required.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this document and post the updated policy on our website and/or within the App Store listing. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of Chaser after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
